Best Dog Names Based on ... Their Hair!

Hi Readers,

I think it is really cool how you dog lovers come up with your dog's names.

We have gotten hundreds of emails about naming dogs based on different characteristics. The most common attribute dog lovers use to try to name their dog is the dog's hair color, spots or coat!

We have created our own list of dog names based on their hair.

Here are a few names that dog lovers recently sent to me:

  • A wrinkled dog named "Yoda"
  • Another wrinkled dog named "Crinkles"
  • Who cannot love a white dog named "Casper" - especially this time of year?
  • Or a black and white dog named "Panda"

I love these names. Click on the links below that correspond to your dog's hair color and see if your dog 's name is on the list.

White Haircoats
Yellow Haircoats
Black Haircoats
Black & White Haircoats
Grey or Silver Haircoats
Red or Orange Haircoats
Brown Haircoats
Spotted Haircoats
Wrinkled Haircoats
Bicolored, Tricolored or Multicolored Haircoats

I hope you enjoy these names!

Dog names are really fun ... almost as much fun as our dogs!

Until next time,

Dr. Jon
