Should You Worry About Your Dog's Grass Eating Habit?

Hi Readers,

I receive a lot of calls from new dog owners (and some experienced ones) about dogs eating grass. Many dogs will take an occasional bite of grass while outside but their owners aren't sure if it's good for them.

Grass eating is a normal canine behavior, but how do you know when they're eating too much? Here is an article that explains all about your dog's grassy snacking

Some people think that dogs eat grass to induce vomiting. Others say that eating grass replaces loss nutrients, or just tastes good. What do you think? Test your knowledge of some common myths about canine behavior (I love articles like this!) at:  Old Wives Tales

Eating grass isn't the only naughty thing your dog can do when he's out in the yard. Some dogs also love to dig, dig, and dig. It can be a hard habit to break but, with patience and dedication, you and your pooch can get through it together. Read this article for more information: For more insight on the instincts behind this behavior, visit Dealing with Dogs that Dig.

Until next time,

Dr. Jon
