Plan for an Emergency Create Your Own First Aid Kit
Hi Readers,
You never know when an emergency will happen. Trust me. I have friends, neighbors, relatives, distant relatives, friends of neighbors, and of course clients who frequently tell me that they had an unexpected emergency ... and they couldn't believe it happened to them.
What can you do to prepare?
First, when you aren't having a problem, put together a first aid kit for your dog. We have a great article that tells you what you need to put in the kit. Print it out and next time you go to the store, take it with you and get the magic ingredients. How to Make your Own First Aid Kit. Second, you should know what the most common emergencies are and what you can do to prevent them. Here is a list that will help. Go to: How to Prevent Common Emergencies.

Hopefully, these two articles will help prevent a problem and/or help you deal with one if it occurs.
I like them all but you've really got to love the ghosts!

Treats for Dogs with Bladder stones
Here is a tip from one of our PetPlace.com users:
My dog is presently on Hills Prescription s/d canned food due to a bladder stone problem. We are trying to dissolve the stones to avoid surgery. My vet advised that under no circumstances was Diesel to have any treats, not even celery which I thought might be okay because celery is 95% water.
